Capital District Recovery Center (CDRC) was founded in 2015 as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation with an all volunteer board and staff dedicated to helping improve the lives of people in recovery. CDRC provides a safe, affordable, substance free meeting space for 12 step and other recovery oriented groups, individuals and their families whose lives have been adversely affected by addiction.
CDRC rents meeting space to Twelve-step programs (i.e. Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Al-Anon, Overeaters Anonymous, etc.). We have no affiliation with any of these organizations other than to provide a safe place to meet. CDRC offers space for a diversity of affiliated programs oriented toward personal development, mindfulness, spiritual growth and recovery from addiction. CDRC is open to all individuals regardless of age, race, spiritual/religious affiliation, sexual orientation and socioeconomic status. CDRC was formed and is managed by a group of volunteers who care deeply about the recovery community. An elected Board of Directors oversees the organization and makes independent decisions about finances, fundraising, administration, and other matters.
CDRC serves as the first of its kind recovery meeting center serving the Capital Region of New York State to assist people in maintaining addiction free lifestyles.
